Early in October 2005, Orange Twin members were told that the house at 163 Jonas St. in Athens, Ga was to be demolished, and that we could have the house if it could be moved within 30 days. We sprang into action and the house was moved by the end of that month. Since then we've repainted the exterior and begun establishing a presence in the immediate surroundings of the house. The garden has consistently grown over the past 3 years and we are currently home to 26 chickens, a hive of bees and a duck! Having the farm house has been key in creating a central location on the land for meeting and organizing projects. We hope to begin hosting volunteer workdays with greater frequency!

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Donate Money - Well now, the house construction was finished quite a while ago, but if you would like to donate to the edible landscaping project we would sure love it. We really appreciate any support. Donations collected are currently being spent on buying/building more beehives and by buying fruit and/or nut trees to be planted around the Orange Twin property. No amount is too small.

Labor -We are trying to include everyone who'se shown an interest in helping out as much as we can. You are welcome to email laura@orangetwin.com and she'll get you on the list of folks to notify when we have work days coming up!
