Bio:

The debut album by Pipes You See, Pipes You Don't, fronted by veteran E6 keyboardist Pete Erchick (noted primarily for his contributions to Olivia Tremor Control, The Gerbils and The Instruments) is not at all unlike what a fan of such bands might expect. What one might not expect is that this album stands alone as a beautiful collection of sweet and melancholy pop numbers.

Throughout the whole album, the gorgeous sound of an upright piano carries the lovely melodies of Pete's songs, and a revolving cast of the usual suspects provides a fitting and intriguing backup palette for these pieces. Evocative of Brian Wilson's "Smile" album, "Individualized Shirts" weaves the spectrum of moods and energies with an eccentric orchestra which seems to fit just right.
